Exporting posed avatar for 3D printing? - zurafan - 01-23-2022

So I'm looking for a way to export my complete avatar as a mesh for 3D printing, in its current pose with clothes/accessories.

I vaguely remember many years ago GLIntercept + OGLE were able to save a snapshot of all rendered geometry as an OBJ, but they don't seem to function properly anymore. I also have Hydrastorm, but all the export functions I've found only save out the avatar's undeformed body mesh, which is cool but not exactly what I'm looking for.

Anything I'm missing here? Anyone have any other tips? Thx!

There aint no way to really do it,modtly because there is no real way to emulate SL's slider system.
Avastar is okay at it, not the best and it works 50% of the time, basically you would extract the mesh body, then convert it into an Avastar rig inside of blender then try to import the shape into the avastar system whenich would try to simulate the slider deformities and give you a morphed body.
However this is a 50/50 kind of thing, soetimes it works sometimes it doesn't but so far that is the only way I know of getting thatto work for printing.

working with the modified build of Firestorm 6.2.5 that's posted around here and it did exactly what I was looking for.

You could try 3D ripper DX but you would have to revert back to DX6 ... although in my experience in ripping games it also worked with dx9.
Thats all I can offer.
