Hello all, if you have this problem:
* FIX FOR HOVERING ON LOG IN *
Go to preferences> then Move & View> then movement tab. Find "Disable waiting for pre-jump and landing animations" and check the box for that. Hit OK at the bottom of the preferences window. IF "Disable waiting for pre-jump and landing animations" is ALREADY checked, uncheck it and then check again. Hit OK at the bottom of the preferences window. Hope this helps everyone!
